The short version. We collect what you send us through our forms and basic analytics about how the site is used. We use it to reply, evaluate a possible deal, and improve the site. We do not sell your information. We share it with partners only when you say yes. Email privacy@restorepointdigital.com to see, correct, or delete what we have.
1. Who we are
This website, restorepointdigital.com, is operated by Restore Point Digital LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Restore Point Digital," "we," "us," or "our"). We buy, operate, and grow online businesses, and we partner with founders who want to grow theirs.
This policy covers information we collect through this website and through the conversations that start here. It applies to visitors in the United States. The best way to reach us about privacy is email: privacy@restorepointdigital.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use one of our forms or email us, we collect what you choose to send. Depending on the form, that includes:
- Contact details: your name and email address.
- Business details: your company name, website URL, revenue range or monthly profit range, revenue model, and anything you write in the message, such as why you are selling or what you want from a partner.
- Your email preference: whether you checked the box to receive occasional updates.
If a conversation moves toward a deal, you may share more, such as financial statements, analytics access, and account details. That is covered in section 7.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics data. Through Google Analytics, we collect the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, a search engine or a link), your browser and device type, approximate location at the city or region level, and how you interact with the site, including whether a form was submitted. See section 5.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser information, and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or precise location. Please do not send it through our forms.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and keep the conversation going.
- To evaluate whether your business fits what we buy or partner with, and to carry out due diligence if we move forward.
- To keep a record of our conversations in our customer relationship management (CRM) system so we can follow up and avoid asking you the same questions twice.
- To send you occasional updates, but only if you opted in. See section 6.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To keep the site secure, prevent spam and fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. When we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers that run our business. These companies process information on our behalf and may use it only to provide their service to us: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Resend (delivering form submissions to our inbox), Google Workspace (email), Google Analytics (site analytics), and our CRM provider.
- Partners, only with your permission. Some deals involve co-investors, advisors, or specialist partners such as a paid media agency. We share your information or your business information with them only after you agree, and we tell you who they are first.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when needed to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Restore Point Digital is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that distinguish one visitor from another. These cookies can last up to two years. We keep Google Analytics data for no more than 14 months.
We have turned off Google's advertising features. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, Google Analytics does not load at all, and we treat the signal as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your information.
- Opting out yourself. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.
- Do Not Track. There is no common standard for the older Do Not Track signal, so we do not respond to it. We honor GPC instead.
Learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
6. Email from us
If you check "Send me occasional updates" on a form, we may email you news about what we are working on, guides, and opportunities. We will not add you to that list unless you check the box.
Every update includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email privacy@restorepointdigital.com. Unsubscribing does not stop replies to a conversation you started with us.
7. Confidential business information
Sellers and founders often share sensitive business information with us: revenue, profit, traffic, supplier terms, and account access. We treat it as confidential.
- We use it only to evaluate and carry out a potential deal or partnership with you.
- We do not share it with anyone outside Restore Point Digital without your permission.
- We are happy to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you share anything detailed. Just ask.
- When you give us access to accounts, we ask for read-only access wherever the platform allows it.
If we sign an NDA or other agreement with you, its terms apply alongside this policy, and where they conflict, the agreement controls.
8. How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not lead to a deal: up to two years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Deal and partnership records: for as long as the relationship lasts, plus the period we need for tax, legal, and accounting purposes.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe. We keep your email on a suppression list after that so we never email you again by mistake.
- Analytics: no more than 14 months.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See section 10.
9. Security
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions travel encrypted to our email provider. Access to our inbox and business systems is limited to the people who need it and protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state law may give you specific privacy rights. We extend the following rights to every visitor in the United States, whatever your state:
- Know and access: ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy.
- Correct: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Delete: ask us to delete your information, subject to limited legal exceptions.
- Opt out: of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither) and of marketing email.
- Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
How to make a request. Email privacy@restorepointdigital.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and tell us what you would like. To protect you, we will verify your identity, usually by confirming the email address we have on file. We respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why.
Authorized agents. You may have someone make a request on your behalf. We will ask for proof that they are authorized and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line "Privacy appeal." We will respond within 45 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
11. Notice for California residents
California law asks businesses to describe their practices using specific categories. In the past 12 months, we have collected:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, IP address, analytics identifiers | You; your device |
| Commercial and professional information | Company name, website, revenue or profit range, business details you share | You |
| Internet activity | Pages viewed, referring site, interactions with the site | Your device |
| Approximate location | City or region, derived from IP address | Your device |
We use these categories for the purposes in section 3 and disclose them only to the recipients in section 4. We do not sell or share personal information, we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information about anyone under 16. Retention periods are in section 8.
California residents may also request information about disclosures for direct marketing purposes under California Civil Code section 1798.83. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
12. Children
This site is for business owners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email privacy@restorepointdigital.com and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. We will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect, if we have your email address.
